Are eyelash extensions supposed to be glued to skin?

(Mature lashes attached to a baby's eyelash) Eyelash extensions should NEVER be applied to the skin. If an eyelash artist places a 13 or 14 mm eyelash extension on this natural eyelash, it can cause twists, falls and long-term damage to natural lashes. Since an individual extension is applied to an individual eyelash, that extension will fall out on its own when the natural eyelash falls out. Excessive weight on a natural eyelash over a long period of time can cause permanent damage to the growth of natural lashes.

So when eyelash extensions started to become popular, I didn't take a break before booking an appointment. Classic extensions are applied in a one-to-one ratio, meaning that an extension is applied to each natural eyelash. Adding too much length is like adding too much weight, since natural lashes can't comfortably hold the extension in place. Eyelash extensions are not tied or attached to natural lashes, as it would be very difficult, if not impossible, due to their very thin and small size.

All of your lashes are in a different state at any given time, meaning that some are about to fall out, while others are experiencing a period of growth (this is true whether you're wearing eyelash extensions or not). Sometimes, you can't avoid rubbing your eyes, but rubbing or touching the extension too much can loosen the adhesive and cause the extension to fall off. If you choose a very thick eyelash extension (for example, 0.25 mm) and place it on a very thin or weak natural eyelash, it will be much heavier so that the natural lashes stay upright and stay in place. One of the scariest things about eyelash extensions is that the process is not regulated in some states, as is the case in Alabama, Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho and Wisconsin.

I know that all the specialists in eyelash extensions tell you that they won't damage your natural lashes if you do them correctly, but maybe I only have very weak eyelashes, I would go to the best eyelash technicians and, every time my last extension fell out, I would get much shorter natural eyelashes than when I started. The result was great (I woke up with bangs full of eyelashes and went to work without putting on any makeup), but after a week I started to wake up with my pillowcase covered with eyelashes, both extensions and my own natural eyelashes.
